Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed through an incision on the side of the body. This procedure removes unhealthy disc(s) to relieve pressure on either nerve roots or spinal cord, and fuses two or more vertebral bodies together.
